igoroldtemkin : Hey guys!

I recently just got a new apartment, but at the moment, I don't have the money I need for it (I'll be getting several thousand dollars in loans next semester, I'm a college student). I had to book this apartment now, or else it would be unavailable by next semester.

Nonetheless, I'm down about $100-some. If I open up a credit card, can I use it to pay for that first bit of rent? As soon as I get my loans, or rather, my next paycheck, I'll pay that money back.

I have no credit history, and I don't have any cosigner (if it's needed to open up a credit card).

Thanks! :)

rarsepoetry : if you have no credit history you need a cosigner but most apartments dont take credit cards anyway

sryanw : No you cannot most landlords want checks or money orders to pay rent.I've never heard of one taking credit card unless maybe it's housing.

Enginisseve : Yes you can do that, I suggest you get a student credit card, as banks usually give those to you with low or no credit, but you would have to see the details about a cosigner. The only thing is they have a max limit of around $1000, but it sounds like that would work in your situation.

urbawibbona : Not going to happen, and the interest on a cash advance on a credit card is beyond stupid.

pawnshop, family, sell some plasma.

eldemowerrorm : you are not getting a CC as a student without a parent signing. CC also take a couple of weeks to arrive you are SOL. If you are borrowing money to live (rent food etc) you are going to be in deep crap before you graduate. No one should be allowed to borrow for life's daily expenses. . Best cheapest way to establish credit is a secured bank loan pay off over 7 months and repeat. Getting a CC to start your file is stupid

Xenanicovan : You could save it as a read only powerpoint. Or better yet a read only presentation, when I say presentation its a file where when opened it skips the power point screen and opens the presentation immediately.
To save like that click Save As then click the "pps" format (or ppsx) Then if you want to make it read only right click the saved file, hit properties then check read only.

My program does what it is suppose to, but I need to be able to input time in 24 hour format so instead of being 800 it is suppose to be input as 8:00. How can i make it so that it lets me put the ':' symbol on the middle of the number.
