Gromisilsss : I'm having trouble with a question and my professor seems to be busy to help me. I was wondering if someone could help me figure this out. Please help!

Burtle Company is planning to add a new product to its line. To manufacture this product, the company needs to buy a new machine at a $482,000 cost with an expected five-year life and a $16,100 salvage value. All sales are for cash, and all costs are out of pocket except for depreciation on the new machine. Additional information includes the following.

Expected annual sales of new product$2,000,000
Expected annual costs of new product
Direct materials500,000
Direct labor672,000
Overhead excluding straight-line depreciation on new machine336,000
Selling and administrative expenses140,000
Income taxes38%

Compute straight-line depreciation for each year of this new machine’s life:

Determine expected net income and net cash flow for each year of this machine’s life:

Compute this machine’s payback period, assuming that cash flows occur evenly throughout each year:

Compute this machine’s accounting rate of return, assuming that income is earned evenly throughout each year:

Compute the net present value for this machine using a discount rate of 8% and assuming that cash flows occur at each year-end. (Hint: Salvage value is a cash inflow at the end of the asset’s life.) :

Any help would be fantastic!

hiegululnenny : I have my copies, although they show low balances. Will the affect their determination of the loan response?

There are no NSF fees. Just low balances.
My payroll check is cashed, I dont have it deposited into bank. I pay most of my bills in cash.

I have money saved for the down payment in cash.

Jamesgo : The low balances will hurt you because they are low (which would be true no matter what you did with your paycheck).

Not depositing your paycheck and paying your bills in cash is going to confuse them. It's going to look like you have no income.

cvdfmehk : Which of the two is better?? I don't mind about screen size. I like the white/ silver models and the S4 seems better but the plastic body really puts me off of it and over to the One.

CobyStoll : I want an iPhone. And I am thinking of buying one on I was looking, and one that is "locked" is much cheaper than one that is "unlocked." I was wondering that if I bought this and put a Straight Talk SIM card in a locked Verizon phone, would it work or not? And if not, is there any way that I could get it to?
