kimmurphyo : I'm in a Marketing class and I need to find a product that is not being sold in my school store. I have a product, but I don't know where I can get all the information I need to get them to my school. So what I'm looking for is a Pepsi supply company because I need a company that ships Pepsi products. If you could help that would be amazing. Thank you.

Jeojeryceby : So, I posted an ad on Craigslist (it's my first time doing so) and I got a response from somebody who is interested. He asked me "what is the availability of your posted ad presently?" What exactly does this mean? Thanks in advance to everyone who answers the question.

esyez011 : Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google

A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:

1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites & articles relating to marketing, promotion & advertising. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* 301 Do-It-Yourself Marketing Ideas: From America's Most Innovative Small Companies by Sam Decker
* Off The Wall Marketing Ideas: Jumpstart Your Sales without Busting Your Budget by Nancy Michaels, Debbi J. Karpowicz
* Guerrilla Marketing for Free: Dozens of No-Cost Tactics to Promote Your Business and Energize Your Profits by Jay Conrad Levinson
* Entrepreneur Magazine's Ultimate Small Business Marketing Guide: Over 1500 Great Marketing Tricks That Will Drive Your Business Through the Roof by James Stephenson

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Alibabamen : Here is what I would do.

# 1) Identify your target market. In other words, who is your ideal customer? Think age, gender, religion, residence, income, etc. Get very targeted.

# 2) Advertise where your ideal customer hangs out. Find the websites they visit, the newspapers they read, etc.

# 3) Use a funded Proposal. Instead of advertising your business, advertise a free report or ebook that promotes your company. Offer your services at the end of the report or ebook.

# 4) Follow Up. Follow up with email and direct mail with all your leads once a week until they die or unsubscribe.

This is what I recommend.

aquarkBer : Start with a business plan and the marketing plan should flow from that. You do need some budget to do things - you can't just do it all for free tho some things like email and website marketing can be very low cost. If its an advertising and marketing agency its going to be in trouble if it can't prepare its own marketing plan!
