Dave.tupastoggep : my terminally ill sister wrote her will and power of attorney excluding her separated husband but lives in their home with their two children. I dont think he knows of the will's existence. Sometime later he coerces her to sign a will he had drawn up for her without her consent. Which will is valid?

lornaemcclurew : The latest version ...you revoke old wills when you sign a new one

Helenc : (Note: non-lawyer opinion follows)

If the coercion can be proven. a judge would be able to invalidate the later will. His doing that would make her earlier will the valid one.

ReliplapseVop : the will signed and dated last is the one which is valid as long as it meets all other legal requirements. if such coersion as you mentioned actually happened, she needs to get this fixed by doing whatever your state would require to legally invalidate that will.

brertrileax : Ok so my very close friend and her family moved to Oklahoma from florida recently a few days ago and they are like my second family so my friends mom who is like my second mom because she babysat me like everyday since I was 2 till I was 5 and I was at their house every weekend to hang with my friend said that she can fly me up there from down here in florida up there to Oklahoma for a week. I have SOOO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

So basically I'm 15 years old and I'm going to be flying ALONE for the first time. The last time I was on a plane I was like 9. First off I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. I don't know where to go, how to get my bags checked, what I'm allowed to bring, and I am SHY and I have really bad anxiety and feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack so I don't feel so great talking to a bunch of strangers for HELP.

How do you get your bags checked? Where do you put your bags once you checked them? Are you suppose to bring them somewhere or put them on something? Are they gonna look through it or open it? And is a checked bag the same as a large suitcase?
Which bag do you get checked first? Your carry on or your luggage?

Am I allowed to bring a hair straightener and which bag do I put it in? Can i just put it in my luggage? Can I pack shampoo and hair spray and tooth paste?

Am I allowed to bring a snack and a bottle of water on the plane? I heard you can only bring a 3oz drink but how is 3 little ounces of water suppose to quench my thirst? Can I bring like once of those cans of planters peanuts on the plane?

Can I use my phone on the plane for texting or playing candy crush? Is it true that planes drain your phone really fast even when you don't use it? Do I have to put my iPhone on airplane mode on the plane?

Do I HAVE to put my carry on purse in the overhead storage or can I just put it under my seat? I really don't want to put it up there because I would feel awkward when taking it down.

How many planes crash everyday? And what would my chances of dying be if we crashed in water or land..lim guessing I would die instantly if it were land but won't die if we crash in the water, but might get eating by sea creatures.

What happens if I miss my flight and can't afford to buy a ticket for a new flight? Is airport food really expensive? Can I bring Starbucks or Dunkin donuts drinks on the plane?

Is it true that if you flush while sitting on an airline toilet that your butt will form a suction seal and your intestines will get ripped out?

What do I do when they check my carry on? Is it true that I have to take everything out as extremely fast as I can and put it in the bin and then rush to put everything back in or else I'll start a traffic jam?

Do they charge you on the spot if your suitcase is really heavy? What's the weight limit?

Do your ear drums really pop on a plane? How long do they stay like that?

When they check your carry on and when they make you put your shoes in the bin, do you have to take your socks off too? Do you have to take out your bobby pins in your hair? Or what if your hair tie has that little metal piece that holds the hair tie together? Would I have to take my hair out of a ponytail?

What are the chances of my luggage being lost forever? Or just lost in general where I will have no luggage or anything in it and will have to spend a week wearing the same clothes and underwear and not straightening my hair?

Sorry if these are a lot of questions... I'm REALLY nervous and scared and I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack.

Tainiobby : Holy....

I'm 14 years old and have flown on alone at least 4 times. Usually, there is a flight attendant from the airline you're flying who will guide you through where you need to go. If not, then to get your bags checked, you need to go to the counter of the airliner you're flying (make sure it has like a small conveyer behind it) and get your bags checked there. They put them on the conveyer and the bags go to the plane. (if you're doing carry on then don't bother with getting them checked and just take them through security) They don't look through your bag, but they will scan it. And yes, a large bag and a checked bag are the same thing.

Hair straighter - I had the exact same problem -_- (RLY ugly curly hair here) You just put it in the bag.

Yes, you can pack shampoo and toothpaste, but make sure they're the mini travel sizes and put them in a plastic bag.

No, you can't bring food, but I'm pretty sure you can bring a water bottle. If not, then the flight attendants come around with peanuts and soda anyways.

You can bring your phone. but there are times (takeoff and landing) when it has to be off. Airplane mode is optional.

You can either put your carry on in the bin or under the seat. I usually just put in in front of me on the floor.

How many panes crash a day.. I'm not sure but I read somewhere 130 on average. But that's the whole world I'm talking about, so not many. If you're crashing then they have you go into certain positions in your seat so that it's a less chance. In water your seats become life vests and there are slides over the wings (from emergency exits) that convert into boats. I don't think you would be eaten by sea guys :3

Missed flight - Eh... you missed your flight. They won't give you another ticket.

Yes, airport food is SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO expensive. Well compared to normal/ And they limit you on things. If it's a drink, yeah you can bring SB or DD.

They check your carry on in security. You have to take out your phone, laptop, and bags of toiletries. And take off your shoes.

Well.. suitcase weight depends on the airline. If your flying Southwest then it's free no matter what weight.

Yes, your ears do pop. You get used to it though.

Keep your socks on. And keep the things in your hair, if their detector beeps then just show them the metal.

Your luggage being lost forever.. the chances are almost 0. If you leave it at baggage claim then there's a good chance that, yes, it is gone. If it's lost in general then I would just buy more clothes and another straightener xD

Hope you have a good trip!

mbtskosalg : Also once I get a MetroCard, can I go wherever I want in New York? I'm assuming that once I get a Metrocard I'll just slide it through the turnstiles and I'll wait for the metro.
